Privacy Policy
What information the Site handles and why, and how advertising cookies are used.
Overview
psychart.kr (the "Site") handles as little personal information as possible. There is no sign-up or login, and no name or email address is required. This policy explains what information the Site handles and why, and what the external services it uses do.
Effective date: 2026-10-22
Information you enter yourself
- Community board posts: category, title, author name (nickname), body text, and a password used to edit or delete the post. The password is stored encrypted (hashed) and is never sent back to the page. Titles, nicknames and bodies are public, so do not post contact details or other personal information.
- Feedback requests (button at the top of the page): the message (required), a name or nickname (optional), a phone number (optional, only if you want a reply), the page address you sent it from, the page language, and browser information (User-Agent). Only the operator can read it, and it is used only to reply and to improve the Site. When a request arrives, its content is forwarded to the operator through a messaging tool (Slack).
Information collected automatically
- When you download a printable chart PDF: only the file name, the page language and the domain of the previous page (host name, not the full address) are recorded. No information that identifies a person is recorded.
- Access logs: the hosting service that serves the Site (Vercel) processes ordinary server logs such as IP address, browser type and request time for security and operation.
- Usage analytics: Microsoft Clarity is installed on the calculator front page (the main page of each language). It analyses behaviour such as clicks, scrolling and navigation to help improve the screens, and it may use cookies. The collected data is processed by Microsoft (see the Microsoft Privacy Statement).
- Advertising: see "Advertising and cookies" below.
Information stored only in your browser
Settings such as the theme (light or dark), unit preferences, the current calculation, saved calculations and collapsed hints are kept in your browser storage (localStorage) on your own device and are not sent to a server. They disappear when you clear the site data in your browser.
A shared link that carries a calculation keeps the values after the # in the address, so they are read only by the browser of the person who opens the link and are not sent to a server.
Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)
This Site shows, or may show, ads through Google AdSense.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this Site or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
To learn how Google uses cookies and data in advertising, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
How the information is used
- Running the board and replying to feedback requests
- Understanding how the Site is used and improving the screens and tools
- Serving ads and preventing abuse and security problems
We do not sell personal information, and we do not give it to third parties outside these purposes except where required by law.
External services the Site uses
- Vercel: hosting of the Site and access logs
- Supabase: the database that stores board posts, feedback requests and download records
- Slack: notifying the operator that a feedback request has arrived
- Microsoft Clarity: usage analytics (calculator front page)
- Google AdSense: advertising
The servers of these services may be located outside Korea, and each service processes information under its own privacy policy.
Retention, deletion, and access or correction requests
Board posts are kept until the author deletes them with the password or the operator removes them; once deleted they are no longer shown. Feedback requests are kept for as long as needed to reply and review.
You can edit or delete your board posts yourself on the post page with your password. To ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of the name, phone number or other details you gave in a feedback request, email contact@psychart.kr with enough to identify the request (the date and part of the message). Please do not put a phone number or email address in a board post.
Turning cookies off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators and tools keep working without cookies. Ad personalisation can be turned off in Google Ads Settings and at aboutads.info, as described above.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the changes and the new effective date will be posted on this page. For questions about personal information, please email contact@psychart.kr. For an introduction to the Site, see the About page.
